About

Emily Mae Proudfoot is a multidisciplinary artist and jeweller, with over 15 years of experience working in fashion design and jewellery manufacturing.

Inspired by the beauty of mortality, ancient manuscripts, talismanic adornment and symbolism, each piece is a unique sculptural work of art.

With a focus on wax carving, gemstone cutting, engraving and traditional metal smithing techniques; Emily hand-creates each piece with the utmost care and consideration. Customers are given the freedom to tailor each design to their personal preference with bespoke stone, metal and engraving. This allows each customer to create a story telling talisman that transcend the trends and can cherished by future generations.

Sustainability

Since 2014, Emily has strived to create a brand that has a symbiotic relationship with nature. Designs are produced in England, in micro quantities or on a made-to-order basis. Materials and packaging are made with recycled materials and are designed to be reused and repurposed.

Emily has spent a decade committed to sustainable manufacturing and environmental conservation, ensuring a transparent supply chain and over 1000 trees being planted. From 2022, a percentage of every sale is automatically deducted and donated to Shopify Planet to fund innovative technologies that fight climate change.

Meet The Designer

Emily Mae Proudfoot is a British womenswear and jewellery designer based in Leeds, England. Raised in the historic county of Yorkshire by artist and musician parents; Emily grew up touring music and art exhibits from a young age, inspiring a lifelong passion for creative pursuits.

After studying photography and fashion, Emily took a couple of years out to work within the industry for both independent, high street and luxury fashion brands. During this time, she experienced first-hand how wasteful the fashion industry is and how there was a lack of brands that were focused on offering sustainably made investment pieces.

In 2013, Emily began making herself jewellery; a hobby that stemmed from suffering from severe metal allergies and being unable to find accessories that matched her personal aesthetic and values.

In the Spring of 2014, under the recommendation of friends, Emily launched her first jewellery collection under the brand name The Serpents Club. Today her passion project has evolved into a fully realised fine jewellery label, relaunched under her own name in 2023 and selling out internationally in over 25 countries.
